Depart from Exmouth Marina on an open-water passage along the Jurassic Coast to anchor off Sidmouth seafront for an uninterrupted, sea-level view of the Sidmouth Airshow.

This special event cruise bypasses the road traffic and crowded beaches, offering a vantage point directly under the display flight path in Lyme Bay:

• Front-Row Water Views: Drop anchor directly off the Sidmouth esplanade, giving you a clear view of the aerial acrobatics set against the red cliffs of the East Devon coastline.

• Feature Displays: The event line-up regularly includes world-class acts such as the RAF Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, high-energy aerobatic biplanes, wing walkers, historic naval aircraft, and local RNLI lifeboat demonstrations.

• Coastal Transit: Cruise past the cliffs, sea stacks, and beaches of the Jurassic Coast between Exmouth and Sidmouth on both the outbound and return legs.

• Pleasure Cruise Only: Please note that this is a sightseeing and aviation spectator cruise, not an angling charter. No fishing takes place during this trip.

Practical Information for Your Trip

• Duration & Shore Time: The trip runs for approximately 5 hours with no landing ashore; passengers remain on board throughout the cruise and air display. Due to the extended time on the water, it may not be suitable for young children.

• Weather & Clothing: Southern Angler is an open-top wooden vessel without overhead saloon cover. Being anchored on the open sea means temperatures can drop, so bring warm layers, windproof/waterproof outerwear, and non-slip footwear.

• Facilities on Board: The boat features an onboard toilet, and light refreshments are available to purchase.

• No Pets Permitted: Due to the duration and loud aircraft engine noise, dogs and pets are not permitted on this cruise.

• Weather Dependent: Sailings rely on suitable sea and swell conditions. If poor sea states force a cancellation, passengers will be notified in advance via email.
